Kart Fighter (NES)

Kart Fighter is a Mario Kart-themed fighting game for the NES. It seems to be based on the same pirate Street Fighter game as the Famicom Mortal Kombat 3 and Tekken 2. The music is converted from the SNES Mario Kart and several backgrounds are borrowed from other lesser-known NES games.




The characters to choose from. Very similar to the roster of Mario Kart. The sprites are actually well done. They wouldn't look out of place in an official NES game.


The characters tend to flicker a lot, but the gameplay is entertaining enough to permit overlooking that fact. Much like Mortal Kombat 3, A is punch, and B is kick, and moving away from the enemy puts you in a defensive blocking position.
